The Arctic air mass arriving Sunday will keep the Northwest on the cold side into much of next week. Dew points will lower to near 10 degrees Sunday and possibly single digits Monday and Tuesday morning. Gusty east winds will hold temperatures at night above 20 degrees in most metro areas Sunday and Monday morning. Calming winds Tuesday will allow the air temperature to drop near 10 degrees F Tuesday morning in places like Hillsboro, Salem and Battle Ground. Portland city center will likely begin Tuesday in the teens. Slight warming will begin Wednesday.
